Thanks for the link. Then make it an OPTIONAL feature. People can enable it if they are okay with CPU or speed drawbacks (real-time reading, 2 videos) as many computers these days have a good performance, or keep it disabled (default). But offer such a feature, and allow the users to decide.

It would be nice, if the Settings would give an option to allow a small preview window for that slider that sets the video position or for a MouseOver event on the video position slider.
