I was hoping to do this as well since I have my albums organized into directories of audio files. In the absence of this feature, I tried to add all the audio files, hoping that since they are alphanumerically ordered (starting with 01, 02, etc track numbers) that they would land in the playlist tha...

It's the top item in the "Network" screen (between Playlists and Settings). I've love to see VLC have a separate tab at the bottom for local files since it really doesn't belong in its current location.
