Is there a way to disable this default behavior?

Not that I know.

I could just modify the code, and recompile it. But that's more time consuming.

Then there is a pic named front.*, cover.*, folder.* or disc.* which is located in the same folder as the audio files. That's the problem I just ran into. I had a "front.jpg" in the same folder. Renaming it to "Front.jpg" fixed the problem. Is there a way to disable this default...
