A fix for browsing the shares was just sent to Apple for review.
Just updated to 3.5.3 from TVOs app store (Serviio UPnP) and folders are available! Thank you for the quick fix

Same here - automatic updates to VLC on Apple TV upgraded to 3.5.2 recently - cannot connect to Serviio DLNA / UPNP folders
