But actually with another (another) reboot my VLC 4.0 is now working fine it seems.

When doing this: "Windows example: vlc.exe -vv --logfile=c:\vlclog.txt"
I've got the same result: nothing happens and no logfile is generated, no trace is being printed in terminal

Hello, Firstly I want to thank you for your player I'm using for dozens of years without any noticeable bug! However I was using a version of VLC < 3.0.20 (I think) and from one day to the other VLC has started to crash at launch systematically. I uninstalled it and installed the new version 3.0.20 ...
