I can add that I’m seeing somewhat similar behaviour on iOS 15.7.5 (iPhone 6s Plus), as well as 16.4.1(a) (iPhone 11 Pro), iPadOS 16.4.1/16.4.1(a) (iPad Pro 4th Gen).
