Subtitle font gets scaled by video size, instead of window size

Depending on the aspect ratio of the video file, the subtitle gets smaller or narrower (or both). When the file has 16:9 ratio, the subtitle is shown in its "default" size. Any other aspect ratio makes the subtitle font size changed. Here are the examples: http://i.imgur.com/FjYngLz.jpg (w...

As many of you complained, I never activated the updates for 3.0.17, because 3.0.17 release was a mess, where we had to have at least 3 minor versions to get a final one. So, many people are still on 3.0.16, and will upgrade directly to 3.0.18. Sorry for the mess. Thank god there's an official expl...

@chubinou Yes, the the auto-update dialog box showed up for me yesterday (December 9).

The issue with 3.0.16 was particularly weird. I went for 16 months without any update :-| .

I manually updated to 3.0.17.4 two months ago.

VLC not auto-updating from 3.0.16

As the title says, since updating to 3.0.16 on June 2021, VLC kept saying "you have the latest version of VLC media player" whenever I checked for updates. I had to manually update to 3.0.17.4, now it's not auto-updating to 3.0.18. I posted on reddit about this https://www.reddit.com/r/VLC...
