I have a custom soundfont installed to play midi files on VLC. Is there a way to download the audio as mp3 or wav being played with the soundfont?

I want to use the music visualizer while playing any audio, but because of the cover art it will not show up. Is there a way to override it and show the music visualizer even for files with cover art?
