Something weird as I just was watching an unrelated video and I was able to resize(the player) smaller than the native video.
I suppose then the request should be revised to say an over-ride feature? I was not exactly aware that specific videos could control aspects of the player.

Not sure if it has always been limited to the width it is now, but I feel like it wasn't always set this way. Has the player window been limited to a certain width? I'd like it if I could set it smaller that width is still very large.

the flashing icon in sys tray, please make VLC do it never, or have toggle for it. It is a hideous 'feature'.

thanks i get it now i guess, my problem was I don't think it's OS specific. And I didn't see a simple VLC bug thread

I use windows, but the bug is that it is allowing the cursor to be picked up on elements behind it's window.
When it is open and I cursor over objects behind it, the tool tip menus start popping up, for the thing behind it.

I don't see a bug specific forum, is there one? Where should bug questions be placed?

it would be nice to lock them and move them together. Or deeper functionality of relational movement, magnified, or other ways of manipulating them would be helpful..
An oscilloscope view of the audio would help. An expandable window with a wave scale displaying the makeup of the media.
