Hello, Recently I started using VLC nightly build and works fine...thx for your effort

I have some questions
1. Is there any way to start VLC with minimal view(Ctrl+H) mode?
2. Can I use system default x264 codec(CoreAVC or Cyberlink)? I know 'dmo', 'quicktime'..Is there an option for x264 as well?

It would fall under the "preferred decoders" list in preferences, input / codecs. Probably entered as just DMO.

The command line switch (--codec dmo) can be added to a shortcut.

i got a poor wmv9 based video performance/quaility problem with vlc 0.8.6.
movies are running fine with vlc 0.8.5 or wmp11, so i guess something wrong with 0.8.6 open source codec.
is there any way to use windows default wmv codec? otherwise, i had to switch back to 0.8.5.
