I've been running an older version of JRE since a recent-ish Java update broke Blu-ray playback. Is if safe to update to the latest JRE? Thanks in advance.
It broke Bluray playback for me as well. Trying to load .mpls or .m2ts files after the jre-8u331 update was causing insta-crash to desktop 100% of the time. Re-installing VLC did not work. Rolling back to jre-8u321 fixed the problem for me.
