Hi DJ, thanks for your answer. you are absolutly right, m Amp onl decodes AC3 & DTS. I thought it might be possible, that VLC decodes AAC 5.1 and sends it this way to the Amp. hi, when i play an mp4 with aac 8ch sbr, in the menu "audio/audio channels" stereo is checked. why that? when i play an ac3 avi there is no such problem. the menu above is greyed out and the ac3-led on my onkyo amp lights up. i hava a mac mini intel with optical out & tiger 10.4.8. thx...

yesterday i got my "vod-server" running with iis & vlc.

i love this program! -> it plays nearly everything (except nero avc), streams all formats i have smoothly. even to my dbox. wow!

i use vlc 0.80 test2 with win xp pro sp2.

this player plays them all - incredible! a really great program!
so easy to use (out-of-the-box), no problems at all (at least for me) and excellent picture & sound quality.

i´d like to use vlc with myhtpc. integration seems so far easy, but... is there a way to "tell" vlc to play videos on my secondary display (via vga-connector - no tv)? like it is in zoomplayer? or maybe possible with powerstrip? i look forward to any hints/tipps & solutions ;-) -> win ...
