Not exactly. I have a client that will generate a TCP video stream directed to any specified IP address on any specified port. The client's IP address is not known in advance. I'm trying to find a way to cause VLC to accept that connection and inbound video stream. There is no URL, per se.

Listening on a TCP port?

I must be missing something obvious. How do I get VLC to listen for an incoming stream on a specific TCP port when the origin IP address of the source is not known? I see how to do this for UDP, but not in the TCP case.
