Using VLC with Sears (subtitles editor)

Hi, I've been unsuccessfully trying to use Sears (subtitles editor http://sourceforge.net/projects/sears ) with VLC, everytime VLC crashes, but surprisingly if restarted I get 2 VLCs, one working on its own, and the other crashed...??? The zip file release is just VLC without the registry keys and shortcuts. It will not interfere with existing software since VLC is standalone. You could use all the interface you want. Great! Of course, just download the zip version and unzip it on your portable HD. Thanks, but : We are talking about the "portable" version? Don't you think it would interfere with the existing software? Which interface could I use, the HD being plugged directly to the TV? (no in between compute...

Installing VLC on an external Hard disk?

Hi,

Would it be possible to install VLC (for instance the "portable" Framakey version which runs on a 1 Go key) on an external HD to have it play the files on a TV?
