Re: Slow audio/sound when transcoding/converting video.

This worked well, thanks. I actually thought that the audio/video wouldn't pass into the new file if it wasn't trans-coded [sic].

Sometimes the best solutions are the easiest.

Re: Can I Force Vlc to Use a Specific Codec?

MPEG-4 ASP and SP decoding support hasn't changed for long time so what kind of problems you have with those files? The file plays, but there's an inch thick, flashing vertical green stripe through the left side of the video. The file I'm trying to use is an AVI v1.0 encapsulated file which uses th...

Slow audio/sound when transcoding/converting video.

Hi there, I'm trying to change an mkv format into an mp4 format. But, whenever I test it out, the audio is slowed right down, and the voices of people sound pretty goofy. Here is my MRL: :sout=#transcode{vcodec=h264,vb=1024,scale=1,acodec=mp4a,ab=512,channels=2}:duplicate{dst=std{access=file,mux=mp4...

Understanding VLC source.

Here's where I'm at: I've read through a beginner's book on c++ and now I want to start tinkering with open source programs to learn more. I can read the source and know what most of the syntax is. But, it's incredibly complex and I don't really understand most of the c++ libraries. Should I buy ano...

Re: Worked like a charm

Thanks! Fixed the VLC issue. Video now shows. What did you do? Anyways, I'm getting this same issue. Fresh install, direct x 9.0c, drivers working and everything. Yet, when I open a movie, it freezes. First the vlc locks up, then the other components get slow shortly after, and then the whole syste...
