With the new version of VLC and new luac, streaming YouTube works (for the most part - one video didn't work?). Make sure you move old unused/backup luac files out of the playlist directory, don't just leave them in there.

Yes, it works for you. But it doesn't work for everybody. That's the problem. I'm also not trashing all my YouTube folders for a browser. That should have nothing to do with how VLC works. It also doesn't make it work. Every browser that exists plays these YouTube videos just fine. VLC should also. ...

I'm not on a VPN or proxy, but I get the same 403 with a good number of YouTube links. Most work, but some percent are like this and won't play. (Yes, using the latest .lua file)

With the latest .luac file, I can stream the YouTube video I previously posted. Yay!
But alas, here's another example that does not work:

Interestingly, if I try to stream it and I hit play, it shows the thumbnail, but that's it.
I tried changing the .luac file but that doesn't help.
