Renaming to .h264 did not work. That file type is not in the VLC filter.

When I see on line posts regarding the VLC player and then I download the current version from the Microsoft Store, it seems like a completely different and limited program. Is there a way to download the classic VLC player?

The latest VLC player from the Microsoft Store will NOT play .264 files. Several older sites show the VLC classic player. Did that work? Is it still available?
