Re: Splitting video to be played back by VLC

Thanks. Playlist is also the first thing that comes to my mind. I was hoping that some feature that I wasn't aware would allow me to do simple file splitting instead of video file splitting to separate videos. In the absence of better solution, I guess playlist would be the best workaround so far.

Splitting video to be played back by VLC

I use VLC on Amazon Fire HD Tablet. It has a microSD card slot but it does not support NTFS/exFAT or Linux FS. So file size are limited to 4GB. I know how to cut video into smaller sizes. True Timeshifting possible?

I see this page: https://wiki.videolan.org/Timeshift/ which talks about timeshift in DVR and then links to the feature: https://wiki.videolan.org/Documentation:Modules/timeshift/ However, the time shifting people use DVR for is n...

Timeshifting video over HDMI capture device

I have a cheap eBay HDMI-to-USB adapter that I am attempting to use it to turn my PC into a time-shifting video player. I have tested it with the Windows built-in Camera App. It was able to record video at what appears to be full resolution (1080p 30fps) video. Regardless, the video quality is good ...
