I have mkv video - Not play on vlc - version 3.5.4 . for my smart Tv . it is on a Smart TV - we can not drag anything on it, this is why I keep saying android vlc is Mainly made for mobile phones - Not for Smart Tv- also when u test- U always test on mobile phones - Never on Smart Tvs....

its ok, I decided to convert to mp4 , luckily without Loss of quality - which would normally have happened !!! with any conversions.

Im using vlc Android version - 3.5.3 and when I try to play a movie which is a mkv 1920x1080 ,it will not play - but can hear the audio working - do I need to change the settings or something ?? This TV is a 4k & plays 4k DVDs

At the beginning of any video from my media file, the app glitches and all appears black and after some times (approax 4 to 5 seconds), the app starts working properly.

Same here , mine just freezes for the 1st 10 seconds.

I had the same issue. Try turning on debug logging, it somehow fixes it.

Preferably with all the Bugs Taken out ?? such as - videos taking 10 seconds to start while freezing at the Beginning. And Blurry xxx.avi just because they are not standard ...avi's

I have not tried with mp3 music - but if it works the same as video - its like this - Pause mp3 song - move navigate pointer Down- Right - there should be a star- when u click this star - it gives u all the option - include format information - repeat - and other stuff.

I dont want to upset you , but alot of people here asking for New features - instead of vlc android being only 40meg - will grow to 4 gig one day. Im happy with all the features - we just want the bugs removed so that its working the same as vlc-windows version !
