Thanks, I accidentally figured that out. I thought when I clicked advanced controls it would open an option box. There is alot packed into this program and with no instructions it's trial and error.

Is there a way to reinstall the VLC program so it has the original features as when I first installed it? I can't get the record button back which made start & stop editing easy for youtube. Thanks

Problem solved. Not sure how as I have limited computer skills, but I managed to somehow navigate to delete preference and cache and re installed VLC and it's now working with min, max and close options. I am missing a Record control button on the bottom that allowed easy stop and go for editing you...

I got that to, I shut my computer down while I went out & when I restarted, it was working again.

Hi, I followed some instructions thinking it would allow me to minimize the VLC screen.I clicked Start VLC with only a system tray icon & now I have a black page with no way to get back into tools to undo it. I tried re installing but no change . Any advice?
