Same problem. Been going on since VLC 3. Videos freeze to various degrees. My Gopro 6 videos don't play back at all except the first ~5 frames or so. That camera is now 3 generations old. Some other videos will play back but glitch out. H265 isn't new. Some "good" news ("solution"...
