Resize vlc to your preferred size and then go to .... etc

That is the problem, it opens to an enormous size, and no corner, or cursor, or handle exists.
I only can imagine the box must open smaller as you suggest. But mine won't.

I have supported vlc and made a donation. I have used VLC as a player on and off for about 20 years, or close. Today my question stems from seeing vlc used as a timeline editor.
