OK, friends and neighbors, I found the answer myself. The URL saved to a document. In this case in the Document folder there was more than one where the URL saved. VLC Player read the URL from the document and streamed it. Thanks; and I hope this helps someone else trying to do the same.

As of yesterday I used VLC Player to stream a favorite URL. The address did not save to Playlists. Is it not allowed? If allowed, then how do you find it? It is the latest version on Catalina.
