What OS are you running? I finally upgraded to Catalina (from Sierra -- long story), tried to Airplay again, and it was good to go. Give that a shot if you're running something older like I was.

Same thing happening here: can click on Airplay to TV and connect but as soon as play is pressed, video pauses and you're given a prompt that the computer couldn't connect to the AppleTV. Completely out of the blue. Pretty sure it has to do with MKV files being streamed, as MP4s still seem to play w...
