It would be really useful to obtain the ability to sort cached files in VLC for tvOS by their name.

The same issue happens to me.
I’ve noticed small files up to 1GB are uploaded without any issues while huge ones 5-17 GB which I’ve tried are failing with “Storage limit reached” error.

Please let me know if need any further details or troubleshooting.
