Instead of the annoying orange hat icon want to get thumbnails preview shown in the playlist. How is that possible? On a linuxmint 20.3 system.

Hi On a linuxmint 20.3 system we want to play mp4's from the HDD. Any video should be played in its real size, no over/up scaling. The background should be black so if the video is smaller then the screen it has a black frame. Controls only appear when mouse is moved. Can't get this simple settings ...

Hello there!
For a long time we are asking ourselves this. How can you open a video in full screen just by clicking the file? Now i still have to use the 'F' key to get the movie in a nice black frame.
Using linux mint 19 and 20.

I use VLC 3.2.11 as a musicbox on my Android phone. When i want to find a song in the music folder i use VLC search. Although in the right directory VLC search is almost never able to find them. How get proper search results from stored files?
