You have distorted equirectangular or fish-eye video that needs to be watched in VR with VR player.

You have mono and stereo options. Most say Mono is not even VR.

Then you have 180 or 360 option.

You have many options for resolution and FPS. Default ones start from 4K 60FPS

I'm not sure you can watch in VR headset with VLC. Try DeoVR player

What do you think of VR videos?

I'd rather think of better headsets like Oculus Quest or Valve Index. No go for Cardboards.
