Thanks for your suggestion, and I just tried that (using H.265), but still no sound.

The strange part, is that when looking via File Explorer, I can not see any of the data files at all, is as if the disc is blank. Although I can't explain that, no doubt that is somehow related to my problem.

I am using VLC to convert (home movie) DVDs, which were originally created by converting those same movies from VHS to DVD. I'm running into 2 problems: 1) I am not getting any audio on the MP4 file 2) I am having issues when I have multiple "titles" on the original DVD, and they're not ge...
