I think it's a bug in my code that I can solve

In an Windows application (Delphi + PasLibVlc), you can continuously change the position of a video (while paused) using a "slider" for example. In the official VLC application of any platform, obviously, you can too. ¿ Is it normal that with VLCKit + Objective-C (MacOS) you can only do it...
