VLC command line

I want to start a video file using crontab. If i run the command manually from a shell everything works great. But if i`m using crontab vlc doesnt play. Can u please give me a solution ?
The ideea is to start playing a file automatically at 9am and stop it at 9pm (21). Please help me with a solution.
