thanks it finally worked i followed the instructions

Try this: Settings -> Apps -> VLC -> Storage Then Clear Cache and Clear Data, and also Deny Access to External Storage folder/file, if any. Notice that once done, you will have to set up VLC again including your media library. I have the same issue but i tried this it worked initially but the issue...

i never knew VLC player was avaialable for xbox aswell thats new.. wow
