Desktop artifact

Whenever I play any video on vlc 0.8.6a, artefacts appear on any jpeg picture. It's visible on pictures with large areas of black colour.

VLC-0.8.5 unable to play video with 120fps

VLC-0.8.5 was unable to play DivX video with 120fps smoothly. It jerked about and lost loads of frames.
