Had this problem for quite some time now when playing larger, higher definition files. Playing the same files in Windows Media Player, however, works just fine. Using VLC 3.0.7.1 on Windows 10. Having the same problem here as well. Is this a case of VLC being packed with far more features than necessary? Or is it some hidden function we must turn on that the VLC team expects us to magically know about?

Meanwhile, Windows Media Player here I come I guess :/
