Okay, so digging in a bit more, waste of my time and many peoples too, VLC Feb 2020 version is streaming go.mpg presumably from the desktop, Firefox and Edge load it though no user prompts.. :O, but neither will display it, it just gets saved to a file, endlessly, and if you cancel it, no way to end...

Folks, this is crazy, if VideoLan says it can stream the desktop, and it doesn't, then it should be made clear to users. I can't find a guide that makes it work with the latest VideoLan version, so what is going on here? Can you stream a Win10 desktop over the local lan and internet, and if so, how ...
