Meanwhile I found it myself. The file is in this folder:
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Temp
The filename: vlc-3.0.10-win64.exe

I just saw a message that a new version from VLC is available and I clicked on download. Then another window popped up that asked me to install it, but I canceled it because I was busy. Now I want to install the update, but I can't find it. Where is it? What's the name of the file?

I don't use special Hardware. #1 is a standard notebook and #2 is a pretty new desktop computer. Nothing attached on both. My language in VLC and Windows is German. I just read the other thread and started to test some more hotkeys. There are differences to the standard: Louder should be CTRL+Cursor...

I have downloaded the tool, but the = key is not in the list. As I said in my initial post I had reassigned the key for normal rate to 0 and it also didn't work.
On both of my computers I have installed very little software.

What can I do now?

I have installed VLC on another PC with Windows 10 and I have the same problem. Could it be a bug?

Today I installed the VLC 3.0.8 on my Windows 8.1 Pro (German). I really like the hotkey functions to speed up or slow down a video with + or – hotkeys. But if I want to go back to normal speed with = it does not work. I changed the hotkey to 0 (zero) and restarted VLC, but it is still not working. ...
