Nope, when i uncheck one or both DirectDraw hardware checkboxes (in simple mode, did not try advanced mode, maybe there would had been more handles), stop video and start it again - it still shows the same distortion and inability to rotate. But, this made me find GUI inconsistency... :-) directdraw...
