I've had this same issue

Infuriating

If this guy is referring to not getting subtitles to show up while streaming to his chromecast from vlc then I have the same issue

having issues streaming mp4 files as well

Can't stream mp4 files either

using the most current vlc beta version as well

I've got the dumb logcat logs but don't see a way to upload it

It seemed this issue was solved before this most recent update

I can vouche that if the resume playback after call is unchecked it still auto starts when you start the car

and if you force stop the app before you start the car it still does it
