...but it just shows the same icon to every video... no thumbnail....

When using any skin, makes this behaviour:

When opening VLC, along with the main GUI, now opens a 2nd window, with a command prompt.

I tried this on 2 different PC's

This makes controlling VLC much more difficult. For example, you can't close VLC from main window.. must close command prompt

Need to understand is black area I'm seeing is in-video black zones, or just player filling up screen

Is this answer for Windows VLC? There's no "Open Media" dialog (it says "Open File") There's nowhere to add the command lines you say... Use option --audio-track or --audio-track-id in Open Media dialog: [v] Show more options Edit Options [ :file-caching=300 :audio-track=0]
