Fortunately, the problem was completely solved by clean reinstallation of VLC. Theme may be closed.

VLC crashes starting Blu-ray disc from external HD

After system upgrade to macos 10.15.7, VLC 3.0.11.1 suddenly stopped playing Blu-rays from external hard disks. After choosing File => Open disk => Open VIDEO_TS/BDMV folder, player just disappears leaving no error notification. Trying over some amount of BD folders I might presume that it happens o...

Yes, yes, yes! The only difference in my case is that it didn't work for me on 3.0.6 and all the previous ones, either. MacOS 10.14.5, Java 1.8.0 b.211.
