See title. It would be extremely convenient to be able to delete files from VLC directly instead of having to go through Explorer/Finder for each file.

Ran into same problem a few days ago. Fix: Allow VLC to control your computer! Go to System Preferences -> Security & Privacy -> Privacy. In the left pane, select "Accessibility", and the right side will say "Allow the apps below to control your computer." Scroll down and you...
