dshow:// + YUY2 + Streaming
In version 2.2.8 you were able to locally stream a webcam. All versions 3.0 and greater this is not possible.

Spread the word, pin this post. There are errors in VLC which are crippling some of its most useful features. These issues are over a year old with no sign of progress.
Bottom line, save yourself some time and transition to alternatives of VLC.

Webcams using chroma YUY2 while streaming don’t work on any version of VLC from 3+. VLC version 2.2.8 can still accomplish this, as well as a chroma of MJPG which seems to be becoming legacy in favor of YUY2. Is there some sort of specific encoding or dshow:// settings needed in order to stream a YU...

Really glad to report that with the newest release (Version 3.2.1.0) RTSP streams are functioning just fine! Thanks for all the hard work guys!!

I don't think sending RTSP streams from UWP is working?
I wonder if this issue is the result of UWP's localhost loopback restriction?
