pfurrie: that is known issue, same for opening (some frames are lost from both ends).

We're having the same problem here, on all our computers. Using VLC 1.0.3 (though doesn't seem to matter which particular rev we have -- they all do it). I have a bunch of MP4 files with embedded artwork (album art) which displays in other programs (iTunes, for example), but not in VLC. Would be cool if VLC would be able to read and display the embedded artwork metadata.

I'm suspect there's a good reason for it not?

When I play MOV files through VLC, the video window always goes away after the MOV has finished playing. Is there a way to change the playback behavior so it freezes the last frame?
