There is indeed no beta running right now. What would help are some logs. If you are tech savvy enough and you are able to use adb logcat, please share them. If not, I fear that you should try to delete VLC's storage data to start over.

I am not sure I understood your issue. You have a physical button to switch tracks, am I right? If so, does it work with other apps?

There is in fact a setting for that! In Settings > Advanced Settings > Custom libVLC options, add: --image-duration=6

VLC for Android should only use Internet for a few things:
- watching streams
- downloading subtitle files

I'm not sure how you can end up using so much data without watching / listening to streams. Does your medialibrary index some files over the net?

Unfortunately, this timing is set in VLC's core and AFAIK there is no setting to change that. I'll ask someone who know though.

Use the PlaylistMediaRelation table to get media and playlist ids. You can then look into the Media table to find the media by id.

I agree with Spike1. Your best bets are:
- add a genre to all of your audio files id3 tags
- sort them by folder
- create playlists by language

What do you mean? Editing the db was never (and will never be) supported.
vlc_media.db can be opened to look into it though. I do it everyday with "DB Browser for SQLite" on Linux.

Even after adding it to a playlist, VLC was able to retrieve the names. Could you please share a screenshot of what you get?

Are you adding this URl in the streams in the "More" screen?

The files will be stored in /sdcard/Pictures/Screenshots. You can also share it right away and choose your file manager to save it.

On what type of folder are your files stored? Is it a SMB share?
