This is not so much troubleshooting as it is bug report. Problem started with Windows 10, with RTL support, confirmed on 4 different machines. For general music playback I like to use Merlin 8MBGM Plus13

It doesn't seem to work. Maybe because it's sfArk file instead of sf2? I defined it as the SoundFont file, and VLC plays MIDIS... without any sound. I revert to the sf2 file and it works. What am I missing?

In ordr to play MIDI files, I followed the procedure and used GeneralUser_GS_1.471SF2.
No offense, it sounds bad. My 30yo Gravis Ultrasound sounded better.

So... any recommendations for a decent SF2?
