There is an option in VLC to playback files where left off in last session. This is a really helpful feature, but the popup on top "Do you want to restart the playback where left off" automatically hides itself after 5 seconds. I want to increase this duration. Can I possibly do that?

The point is that there is not a The One Sequence of files in a directory. The order of files in a directory is meaningless, and might not correspond to any sort of logical order. Maybe you want alphabetic order, or maybe you want numerical order. But neither of those are "The Sequence". ...
