I disabled the HW decoding:
Preferences -> Input/Codecs -> Disable hw decoding
Driver:
Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.
Date: 29/04/2013
v. 8.970.100.1100

Similar issue.
All H.264 video are played with huge video lagging and corruption, audio is ok.
Tried everything, no result.
Reverted to 2.2.8, works like a charm.
