I would like to convert a cda file (actually a track from a CD) into MP3. I understood from various articles, that VLC is supposed to be able to read cda. When I open the converter dialogue and click on "Add" ("+"), .cda is not listed as valid extension for the files to show. Aft...

Is it possible to add a second of silence to the start and/or beginning of a MP3 audio file using VLC Player?

I'm not talking about adding a silence in a playlist, but modify the MP3 file itself.

Found the problem! I have set the AUDIO Codec to MP4 instead of MP3.

I would like to use VLC media player to convert MP4 files with video information into MP3 audio files.
