Re: Fullscreen menu on mouse move : not present on TV

I'm actually having this problem on v3.0.4, on an iMac running High Sierra, with an old '03 cinema display as my second monitor. When I switch VLC to full screen on my second display, the control panel shows as still on my primary monitor. And fades before I can click. When I finally can click on it...

Re: Size flickering when adjusting brightness on computer

Well, if I disconnect the second screen, I won't be able to see VLC. I use VLC on the second screen. That's my issue.

But it doesn't happen on my primary screen anyway. So that's not my problem.

Re: Size flickering when adjusting brightness on computer

I have the same issue on a 2017 iMac 5K, but only when I have an additional screen connected (using a USB-C to HDMI adapter). Disconnecting the second screen appears to 'fix' the issue for me. I wonder if it's because the external screen is not retina, unlike the built-in one. On top of that, VLC 3...

Re: Size flickering when adjusting brightness on computer

It looks like it's going from the default screen size of the video, and stretching to fill the entire screen.

It happens on non widescreen videos too. Like old TV shows or recordings made for TV. Only instead of stretching vertically, it stretches horizontally.

Re: Size flickering when adjusting brightness on computer

Since a macOS update?
It's possible. I can't remember when I updated to High Sierra.

But i updated VLC recently too.

You adjust with the keyboard, right?
Typically, keyboard, yes. But it happens when I adjust it in the preferences as well.

Re: Size flickering when adjusting brightness on computer

VLC: 3.0.3 Vetinary (Intel 64 Bit) OSX: 10.3.4 It's been doing it for a few weeks now. Even after I updated to the most current version (at the time I started noticing it at least). I am using the brightness keys on my keyboard. But it does it when I use the slider in the settings menu as well. It o...

Size flickering when adjusting brightness on computer

Whenever I adjust the brightness on my computer, the size of my video screen switches around rapidly a couple times and then stops.

Video screen size changes rapidly

Every so often during playback, the video size will go from default, to a stretched vertical back and forth rapidly.

I want to say it started happening with the recent update, but I'm not 100 certain about that.

Is there a fix for this?
