I keep getting this error over an over again. I tried the fix of going into the registry and removing the VLC files, but that didn't work. I also tried renaming the VLCC file, that didn't work. Is there a CURRENT fix for this problem? I tried googling it and I'm getting fixes from 2016. Edit to add ...

No matter what video I try playing from my downloads folder, the program will crash within a minute or two. This only started happening a couple days ago, and I can't find anything in the system that updated that could have caused VLC to become unstable. Any ideas?? TIA
