I had to add

QT_AUTO_SCREEN_SCALE_FACTOR=0
to my /etc/environment file.

One solution to make the QT_AUTO_SCREEN_SCALE_FACTOR=0 by default is to add it to your /etc/environment file, and reboot.

VLC UI scaling broken on Lubuntu 18.04

Using apt install vlc (i.e. the VLC in the Ubuntu repository, 3.0.2), I get the following interface: https://i.imgur.com/cUMlTKg.png The controls are way too big for the DPI of the screen. So are the menus and dialog boxes. Any ideas on how to fix this? I have a pretty average 23" 1920x1080 scr...
